    Assignment Prompt & Instructions

    ## **Instructions:**
Week 5 Assignment: Build a substance-based PowerPoint presentation. You are present the presentation with voice over. This can be accomplished with the PowerPoint based features or you can use a software of your choice, such as Prezi Video, Zoom, or your computer installed video/audio features. The presentation is to contain at least 10 slides with an introduction, body and summary slides on the concepts listed below from Week 5 Readings.  Be sure to address each item, so you capitalize on all available points. Remember to provide a summary and note that the quality of your presentation will have some bearing on your total points. You want to use images, videos on YouTube, if available, hyperlinks and other supportive diagram where necessary.
For more instructions view video below:
You will see in the assignment area, you will have the option of attaching the PowerPoint presentation. If you do not have access to PowerPoint, use MS Word, but you will need to address each point and add images to support your transition. My Computer video/audio feature is available in the Assignment area Submission link. Click the icon that represents My Computer video/audio. You will get populated into an environment where you are able to add videos, photos, and audios after clicking upload. You may download audacity, independent of this environment, and use it to create and upload an audio. However, you may click webcam and record an audio/video of your presentation with or without your face visible. Once it becomes part to of your file, you may select it, and it will become part of your assignment submission. You will use the video to talk about your presentation and then attach your slides to submit your assignment. This is one quick way to complete your assignment without a lot of struggle.
Class, if you choose to create a video, try to keep the size small. You have the capacity to upload about 30MB in video size depending on the network you are working on. Also, go to the video link and review the videos on wireless communication and more. Keep in mind, the assignment will extend your knowledge beyond the lessons via research. Additionally, communication media would be the same as transmission media in respect to this assignment.
Examples of **wired** media would include the following:
    – Twisted-pair cable is used for telephone systems and network cabling.
    – Coaxial cable is often used for cable television wiring.
    – Fiber-optic cable is capable of carrying significantly more data at faster speeds than wired cables.
Examples of **wireless** media would include the following:
    – Broadcast radio distributes radio signals over long and short distances.
    – Cellular radio is a form of broadcast radio used for mobile communications.
    – Microwave station, which is earth-based reflective dish used for microwave communications, and it must transmit in straight line with no obstructions.
    ## **Be sure to address the following:**
    – Introduction – provide the reader a bulleted list of all the points your will discuss in the presentation.
    – From the Analog to the Digital Age – discuss how digital and analog data differ and what a modem does ( **Audio is required)**.
    – Explain **Network Architectures** ( **Audio is required)**.
    – Networks – discuss the benefits of networks and three types of networks, their components, and variations ( **Audio is required)**.
    – Wired Communication Media – discuss three types of wired communications media ( **Audio is required)**.
    – Wireless Communication Media – discuss three types of wireless communications media ( **Audio is required)**.
    – Cyberthreats, Hackers, & Safeguards – describe areas of concern for keeping a computer system safe ( **Audio is required)**.
    – Summary – provide the reader a bulleted list of all the major points you discussed in the presentation.
    – Overall Quality of Presentation **with audio** support using MS PowerPoint Voice Over feature, Prezi Video, My Computer video/audio, Zoom or other available audio/video software (included images, video, audio and content hyperlinks where needed to extend presentation).
    – **Remember to give your source credit using APA format!**
    – Try not to exceed 30MB in presentation size, so you may submit your completed work. If still too large, delete some of the multimedia.
    ## **Submission Instructions:**
Upon completion, submit your completed presentation in this area of the classroom for grading. ![Free White Switch Hub Turned on Stock Photo](https://images.pexels.com/photos/159304/network-cable-ethernet-computer-159304.jpeg?auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb&dpr=1&w=500)Image Source: https://images.pexels.com/photos/159304/network-cable-ethernet-computer-159304.jpeg?auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb&w=600

    Assignment Prompt & Instructions

It is strongly recommended that you complete all labs in Lesson 7 of your textbook, for practice, before attempting this assignment. Although you will not submit the labs from your textbook, they will give you the foundation to understand how to correctly code in HTML.
You must write the code files by hand for all assignments in this class. A simple text editor, such as Notepad or Notepad++ will suffice. DO NOT use web page programs, such as FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc. You must write the code for your web pages yourself.
Make sure all of your web pages (HTML files) comply with the HTML 5 standards. DO NOT use deprecated (outdated) tags and attributes from previous versions of HTML. By including the HTML 5 DOCTYPE declaration in your webpages, and [validating](http://validator.w3.org/) all of your HTML files, you can be sure that your code complies with HTML 5.
Make sure all of your style sheets (CSS files) comply with the CSS3 standards. By ensuring that all of your CSS files (and any HTML files containing embedded CSS) [validate](http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/), you can be sure that your code complies with CSS3.
You are encouraged to test all of your web pages at the [W3C mobile OK Checker](http://validator.w3.org/mobile). Keep in mind that all pages of your website must pass validation on the W3C mobile OK Checker when you submit your website for the Final Project at the end of Week 8. Therefore, if you can test your pages each week and begin correcting any errors that you find, you will have less work to do during the final week of the course to ensure your web pages pass validation on the W3C mobile OK Checker before submitting your Final Project.
Create your files using a text editor, such as Notepad or Notepad++, and name the main page (home page of your website) "LastFirstAssignment5.html" where "Last" is your last name and "First" is your first name. For example, if your name is John Smith, you would name your main file SmithJohnAssignment5.html
    **Instructions:**
This week you will add an HTML5 drag-and-drop API to your website. If there were any errors in your website in weeks 1-4, please make sure you correct them before re-submitting your files for this week's assignment. Continue to build on the website you created in weeks 1-4. You should be creating an informative website about any topic that interests you. Make sure that you write the content (the paragraphs of information about your topic) yourself. Do not copy content from other web pages. Your website should contain at least 4-6 paragraphs of information, arranged in a logical manner (appropriately using headings and sub-headings, as well as HTML5 structure elements). Do not re-use webpages or webpage content that you have already used for a grade in a previous course, such as WEBD121. Although the skills you gained in other courses will give you a good foundation to build upon in this class, you are expected to create original work for this course, using new content and new code that you learn in this course. Use this as an opportunity to teach me something new about a topic which you are knowledgeable about!
Your website (HTML files) must include all of the following:
    1. Correctly uses all basic HTML 5 tags, such as HTML 5 DOCTYPE declaration; html, head, and body tags; charset, author, keywords, and description meta tags; title tags; and HTML5 structure elements (found in Table 1-2 of Lesson 1 of your textbook). In particular, be sure to use each structure element correctly, containing information appropriate for that type of structure element.
    2. In the body section of your document, include all seven HTML5 structure elements from Table 1-2 of Lesson 1 of your textbook. Be sure to use each structure element correctly, containing information appropriate for that type of structure element.
    3. Website contains at least three HTML pages with a total of 4-6 paragraphs of well-written, well-thought-out content.
    4. Images, hyperlinks, and other HTML elements appropriate to your page.
    5. Correctly coded HTML5 drag-and-drop API.
    6. [Validate](http://validator.w3.org/) all HTML files and fix any errors that the validator identifies before submitting your assignment.
Your style sheets (CSS files) must include all of the following:
    1. Correctly coded CSS3 selectors and properties, including a variety of background properties, border properties, font properties, text effects, and advanced CSS3 techniques.
    2. [Validate](http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/) all CSS files (and all HTML files that contain embedded CSS) and fix any errors that the validator identifies before submitting your assignment.

Make sure all of your style sheets (CSS files) comply with the CSS3 standards. By ensuring that all of your CSS files (and any HTML files containing embedded CSS) [validate](http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/), you can be sure that your code complies with CSS3.

**Analysis and Risks of Not Applying Ethics Both at the University and in Nursing Practice and Duties**
It is well known that having and maintaining solid ethical principles in our lives makes us better people and better professionals, since ethical norms or principles govern a discipline that must be respected. Both at the University, where we are learning not only to master the art of nursing but also training to serve humanity, we will be dealing with sick people who are vulnerable and need proper care. All of the above has to do with something called ethics. Ethics is a set of norms or principles that govern what is right or wrong, based on certain philosophical principles, and it also has a lot to do with individual morality. Plagiarism, for example, constitutes a real example of a breach of ethics, since the individual is appropriating elements that do not belong to him and is pretending that they do belong to him. Plagiarism constitutes a serious offense of the first order within the University. It is a very low behavior that puts at risk the good academic preparation that a student may have, in addition to creating a discredit as a professional when one is not well prepared to exercise a position as a nurse. That student who frequently practices plagiarism is at risk of being expelled from the University and not being accepted in any other University for a period of punishment and awareness (Brown et al., 2021).
We have many examples of unethical actions in clinical nursing practice. For example, when an error is made in administering medication to a patient and then nothing is said, this is a very serious error, since the patient’s life is put at risk and the results can be fatal for both the patient and the nurse. In this case, it would be best to immediately report what happened (American Nurses Association, 2022; Simón-López et al., 2023). In university life, where there is constant learning and training, the most important thing in terms of ethics is the responsibility to be genuine, not plagiarize under any circumstances, be honest, and above all, respect the individual intellect. On the other hand, we have the clinical field, the practice of nursing, where the ethical objective will always be to ensure the well-being of the patient in all possible areas. If a mistake occurs in any nursing action, the most ethical thing to do is to report it immediately and seek a solution as a team.
In both cases, both in nursing school and in the clinical part of nursing practice, there are regulatory bodies that guarantee magnanimous ethical control and provide the respective guidance and sanctions for anyone who engages in any inappropriate act.

**Please ensure that the Reply includes more than 200 words with scholarly articles, and the plagiarism level must remain below 20%.**
**onsequences of Unethical Behavior in Nursing Education and Practice**
Unethical behavior—such as plagiarism in graduate nursing programs and falsification of clinical records—has far-reaching consequences for individual professionals and the broader healthcare system.
In a Master’s nursing program, plagiarism undermines both the learning process and academic integrity. Nursing students who plagiarize bypass critical opportunities to develop essential clinical reasoning and writing skills. According to Farah et al. (2025), academic dishonesty in classrooms often correlates with unethical behaviors in clinical settings, suggesting that students who cheat may later fabricate patient documentation [nursing-homelawyers.com](https://nursing-homelawyers.com/the-consequences-of-falsifying-medical-records-the-case-of-nurse-patricia-lynn-nash/?utm_source=chatgpt.com). When a student copies another’s literature review or fails to cite properly, they risk receiving academic penalties like failing the assignment, academic probation, or even program dismissal—delaying graduation and disrupting professional development. More importantly, the inability to engage with course content deeply can result in a practitioner who lacks the critical analytical skills necessary for safe patient care.
In nursing practice, falsifying patient records is a grave ethical violation with direct threats to patient safety. Consider the case of a nurse who deliberately alters medical documentation to conceal a mistake or to falsely indicate that a patient received medication. Such actions can lead to delayed treatments, medication errors, or unnecessary procedures. In one documented incident, falsified records jeopardized patient safety and resulted in legal charges and loss of licensure. Beyond the personal consequences for the nurse—such as termination, legal action, and revocation of license—this behavior erodes trust in healthcare providers, compromises team communication, and damages institutional reputation.
Maintaining integrity in both academic and clinical settings is non-negotiable. In education, upholding academic standards builds a foundation of trust and competence. In practice, honest documentation ensures patient safety and preserves professional credibility. Both arenas demand ethical vigilance and commitment to the standards of nursing excellence.

    ### Formative Assessment
To critically analyze and compare various nursing theorists and their contributions to the field of nursing. This assessment aims to deepen understanding of nursing theories and their application in clinical practice.
    **Part 1: Choose Your Theorists**
    – Select three nursing theorists whose work interests you. Possible theorists include, but are not limited to:
    – Florence Nightingale
    – Jean Watson
    – Hildegard Peplau
    – Dorothea Orem
    – Betty Neuman
    – For each theorist, provide a brief overview that includes their historical context, main concepts, and the significance of their work in nursing.
    **Part 2: Compare and Contrast**
    – Using a comparison matrix, evaluate the selected theorists based on the following criteria:
    – Theoretical Foundations (e.g., philosophical underpinnings, definitions of nursing)
    – Key Concepts (e.g., person, environment, health, nursing)
    – Nursing Goals (e.g., patient outcomes, health promotion)
    – Application in Clinical Practice (e.g., care models, interventions)
